mending the gap 10k

Please join us for our 1st annual Mending the Gap 10K – July 1st– 8:00 AM sponsored by MEND Health & Wellness of Maine. Mend Health and Wellness is a sports chiropractic, family-run, family-friendly rehab clinic. Led by the husband and wife team of Dr Tracey and Victor St John they are dedicated to non-surgical management of Sports and Musculoskeletal injuries.

Proceeds from this event benefit the Eastern Trail Alliance, an organization dedicated to building a 65-mile transportation and recreation greenway from Kittery to South Portland, Maine and will go directly to support the Close the Gap Campaign. The construction of this trail segment, which includes two bridges will close this gap between South Portland and Scarborough and provide 16 continuous off-road miles reaching from South Portland’s Bug Light to Downtown Saco. The cost to close this gap is $4.1 million and we are in the final stages of fundraising for this most critical project. FMI http://www.easterntrail.org/index.php/close-the-gap

With 22 miles currently off road, our goal is to raise awareness and funds to continue the vision of the Eastern Trail’s founder, the late John Andrews, filling in the gaps and adding more miles to the off road trail sections.

Registration fees are $25 prior to the event, $30 on the day of the event.

Additional donations towards the Close the Gap campaign are appreciated.

Online registration will close at 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 30th.

Participants will be able to avoid the crowds and pick up their race bibs and T-shirt (if ordered before 6/07) ahead of the race on Saturday, June 30th, between Noon and 5 PM during the pre-event Expo at MEND Health & Wellness, 605 Route 1, Suite G, Scarborough.
