We are excited to have acupuncture services at Mend health of Maine. Please welcome Zach Haigney to the practice. He is the founder of Maine Sports Acupuncture, a practice dedicated to serving the athletic and active communities of Maine with a unique approach to pain, injury, and health promotion.

He officially began his acupuncture career in 2012 in New York City. He studied at the Tri-State College of Acupuncture, the oldest acupuncture college in America. But his Acupuncture journey started much earlier. In college, he majored in Biology and Philosophy with a keen interest in exploring the similarities and differences between scientific knowledge and the knowledge of the great traditions of the past.

This has proven to be a life long endeavor. Always an athlete Zach hopes to maintain robust health and physical functionality until a ripe old age and help his clients do the same. And this the focus of his practice at Maine Sports Acupuncture, leveraging the wisdom of health traditions of the past with cutting edge science of longevity, aging, pain, and rehabilitation to offer a truly unique approach to pain, injury recovery and building physical resilience.
